Description

Begonia acetosa is a wonderful species from Brazil. It is rhizomatous with a low growth habit. The leaves are medium sized, olive green on the top and red in the bottom. What makes this species so nice is the velvety texture of the leaves. The red velvety undersides are really eye catching, as are the clusters of small white flowers. This is a beauty for the greenhouse, garden room, or conservatory. It likes bright light, dry between watering, and a little extra humidity.
